Colorado Horses In Assessment
The following horses are part of indirect rescue work done by Front Range Equine Rescue with a few select organizations when possible. On occasion, FRER will work with another legitimate horse rescue/sanctuary to assist with the rescue of horses out of the slaughter pipeline or other abusive situations.
Horses listed below have received financial support from Front Range Equine Rescue, but are located and cared for by another organization. The organizations FRER helps from time to time are located in FL and CO.
The horses below are three young mustangs removed from the slaughter pipeline during July 2023. These horses are located at the Wild Horse Rescue Center (WHRC) in Webster, FL. Kahana and Satanta were adopted in 2024; Ahote and other horses at WHRC are available for adoption to qualified homes.
Below are photos of other horses from WHRC and Sixteen Hands Horse Sanctuary which have received assistance from Front Range Equine Rescue.
