Zoya
Zoya is a crippled older mare who was dumped at a low end auction and then in danger of entering the slaughter pipeline. She was rescued in April 2026.
Zoya was very lame and sore with an enlarged left front fetlock joint and overall lameness from other strains, injury and compensation.
Initial veterinary exam included Xrays and other evaluations. It was sadly decided that no treatment could provide this sweet mare with an improved or pain-free managed life. She was humanely euthanized.
Again, another good horse ruined by humans.
