Hamish
Hamish was originally rescued by another CO organization and provided with all initial rehabilitation. They obtained him from an auction which kill buyers attend on a weekly basis. The rescue indicated he was extremely thin at the time of rescue. Ironically, his coat was more of a sorrel color, but once he began to improve and shed out his winter haircoat, he became more of a liver chestnut color.
Hamish transferred to Front Range Equine Rescue in September 2026. He’s a very friendly, talkative senior gelding who is up to date on basic care needs. Our veterinarian will do some additional diagnostics so that we can provide for any additional needs or discover any underlying conditions to watch for.
Hamish is part of our retired herd of horses and is with three other rescues on a private ranch in CO.
