Sport (ADOPTED)
Sport came to the rescue as an owner surrender in November 2017. He is said to be 30 years old and was still being used for a couple of beginner riding lessons. His owner gave him up when the facility he was kept at closed and she did not have other options available financially for him. Sport will live out his life with the rescue and is being evaluated for any potential medical issues not yet addressed. He does have Cushing’s disease and has been on medication for it.
Update: Sport was at the rescue less than two weeks when a call came from a woman who knew of the facility closing where Sport used to live. She and a good friend are experienced horse owners and they “specialize” in caring for older horses. She asked if we would consider adopting Sport! When they visited they saw that Scamp and Sport were good friends and asked to adopt both of these wonderful older geldings. The boys moved to a wonderful new home in November 2017.
