Uno
Uno was rescued in October 2014.
He had a swollen, painful knee from past racing. He was malnourished and had been housed in a dirt lot by a trainer who had no money to care for him. There was moldy hay and no water or food source from where we picked him up.
After many months of rehabilitation, Uno entered training evaluation to see if any limited riding would be possible. For a time, Previcox helped with residual inflammation.
Uno was able to do some light flatwork in an arena at the walk/trot initially. After limited light rides and further evaluations, it was determined the old injury had been too significant for Uno to be anything but a companion horse. He was retired to a permanent home.
