Othello
Othello was rescued in July 2023 from a horse trader/kill buyer situation. His last owner had turned him over to a “friend”. Othello had poor conformation due to significant club feet and this caused other physical issues which no one bothered to address. Allegedly he’d been ridden “until recently” before he was left on the brink of entering the slaughter pipeline. Othello was reported to have spent a lot of time laying down during winter weather, likely due to significant hoof and other pain.
Othello’s veterinary exam included the following information: severely lame/multiple limbs; club foot both fronts.
