Angie was saved from the slaughter pipeline in October 2024. She had likely been dumped at an auction where a callous owner left her to wring a few last dollars from this elderly, lamed up mare.

While in good weight, Angie had significant lameness issues with compensating issues as a result.

Veterinary exam indicated: a large, old scar on the front and inside canon bone of the right hind leg. The leg was also severely affected by unilateral stringhalt with the hoof reaching to hit the abdominal area or within inches of it every stride.

Further diagnosis and consultation to be provided to fully assess quality of life issues.
