It’s been just over 24 years since I wrote the following tribute to my most beloved horse, Dancer. The treasured memories of our time together are always with me, and the pain of his loss also remains.
Because of Dancer, thousands of horses have been helped out of situations of neglect and abuse, including many at death’s door. He was my inspiration to start Front Range Equine Rescue back in 1997, and to this day we carry on his legacy.
After all, saving one horse might not change the world, but it does for that one horse.
