Sweet
Sweet (aka Sweet N Low) initially came to Front Range Equine Rescue as an owner surrender back in April 2005.
Records indicate that Sweet was captured during a roundup in June 2000 from the Owyhee HMA in Nevada. She received vaccinations and worming while at a BLM holding facility.
She was adopted in October 2000 and spent those years with one owner along with another mustang mare (which the owner also surrendered to Front Range Equine Rescue in April 2005).
FRER picked up all necessary caretaking for Sweet and when ready, she went under the care of one of our trainers for evaluation and other assessment. In May 2006, Sweet was adopted to a qualified new home.
Now 20 years later in 2026, Sweet has returned to the rescue as part of our retirement herd due to a change in her owner’s own retirement situation.
As before, the rescue is picking up all caretaking needs going forward. Sweet is adapting well back in Colorado with new friends. She will be able to participate in any educational events during the summer and is already a favorite with volunteers.
