Harmony

Harmony is about 10 years old and was found at a low-end auction with her young foal, Melody (aka Zara).  Their future was uncertain as this auction sells primarily to kill buyers for slaughter; foals are usually discarded. Harmony’s filly was weaned at 6 months old, and Harmony has been undergoing training evaluation. It appears she was started at some point but is “rusty” with under saddle work. She is a nice mare who needs an experienced rider to continue with re-training. She is currently being lightly ridden in a round pen/arena, and will progress to pasture, short trails.  Harmony is the “boss” and gets turned out with other mares currently.

UPDATE:  Just before Thanksgiving 2016 Harmony became ill.  The diagnosis was a significant issue with the liver and shortly after renal failure began.  She was humanely euthanized 11/23/16.
