Danny
Danny was rescued in August 2015 from a race track in WV as he was heading to slaughter due to hoof issues and an owner without the funds to feed him. He stayed at a private farm initially and began treatment for severe white line disease. Once the lameness started improving, Danny was gelded. In time, he was evaluated at the W/T/C in an arena setting with soft footing. After further study of white line disease issues, X-rays were taken. Danny was moved to the rescue’s FL farm for better evaluation and additional diagnostics. It was determined he had chronic white line disease with other degeneration to internal hoof structures. He could never be more than a companion horse and has been retired.
