2009 Events and Clinics:
Email Front Range Equine Rescue (FRER) for registration information. Please note that clinics fill up fast.
- March 8 - Horse Ownership in a Tough Economy, Latigo Trails Heritage Centre (13710 Halleluliah Trail, Black Forest; meet in community center bldg.), 11 am. Topics include: keeping your horse and cutting expenses, re-homing your horse, report abuse, neglect and aandonment, stop the backyard breeder, Trails End program, helping each other. - Spring - 3rd and 4th graders visit from Prairie Winds Elementary
- May 16 – Equine Education Day at Latigo Trails Heritage Centre (13710 Halleluliah Trail, Elbert/Black Forest), 9 to 5. Vendor booths, guest speakers, demonstrations, used tack sale, food, door prizes and hay give-away. No admission fee. Click here for more information.
- May 17 - Open house at Larkspur facility between 10 am and 2 pm. RSVP only. Refreshments provided.
- May 30-31 - Back on Track with Steve Mantle. A two day clinic to restart your relationship with your horse. Good for anyone who hasn’t had time to ride or needs some basic problem solving. Riders will have one-on-one time with Steve on Saturday and the group will come together to work on Sunday. Includes ground work, under saddle and trailer loading. While Steve is well-known for training mustangs, this clinic is open to any horse. Limit of 7 riders. $200 includes both days and lunch/refreshments. Auditors welcome at $20/day includes lunch/refreshments.
- June 6-7 - Building the Horse of a Lifetime™ with Debbie Bibb at Latigo Trails Heritage Centre (13710 Halleluliah Trail, Elbert/Black Forest), 9am-5pm. Learn how to use principles of Communication, Relationship and Performance to build your horse of a lifetime. Debbie will show you how to create a solid foundation, improve your horsemanship, solve common problems, and reach your goals. All levels of horse/rider welcome. Limit of 12 riders. $225/rider includes both days and lunch/refreshments. Auditors welcome at $20/day includes lunch/refreshments.
- June 8-12 - Summer youth camp, ages 8-12, private location in Black Forest, 9am-1pm, bring sack lunch/drink. A fun-filled and age appropriate educational week of learning about horses, no riding. Contact us for details/to register.
- June 22-26 - Summer youth camp, ages 13-16, Lasting Partnership Training Center, Falcon/Calhan, 9am-1pm, bring sack lunch/drink. A fun-filled and age appropriate educational week of learning about horses, no riding. Contact us for details/to register.
- September 19-20 – Front Range Equine Rescue hosts Animal University’s presentation of a very special clinic. Details to be announced in mid-March.
