2008 Events and Clinics:
Email Front Range Equine Rescue (FRER) for registration information. Please note that clinics fill up fast.
- April 10-13 - Equine Affair in Columbus, Ohio, the Nation's Premiere Equine Exposition & Equestrian Gathering. FRER will have an information booth.
- April 15 – speaking engagement at Parker Trail Riders’ monthly meeting
- May 10-11 - Steve Mantle wild horse clinic (demonstration only), Lasting Partnership Training Center - Calhan, CO, Saturday 9 to 5, Sunday 9 to 2. Cost: both days - $45 includes lunch, Saturday only - $30 (includes lunch), Sunday only - $20 (includes lunch). Please bring a chair as seating is limited. - May 17 - 3rd Annual "Equine Education Awareness Day - vendor booths, guest speakers, demonstrations, door prizes, used tack sale, food, fun - doors open at 9 am, event ends at 5 pm - this is a fundraiser for FRER. Click here for details or a printable flyer (PDF, 982KB).
- June 7-8 - “Creating the Ultimate Trail Horse” with Debbie Bibb, to be held at Latigo Trails Heritage Centre, 13710 Halleluiah Trail, Elbert (Black Forest area). Hours: 9am -5pm with an hour lunch break. Join us for a fun and educational weekend to help solve your trail riding problems or tune-up a young, inexperienced, or rusty trail horse. Learn techniques to safely prepare your horse for the trail in a logical/easy-to-understand format. Includes, but not limited to, teaching the horse to stop (no matter what); passing “scary” objects safely; walk anywhere in a group of horses safely; cross various obstacles, etc. Cost for riders: $265 (includes lunch both days). Cost for auditors: $25 per day (2-day pass for $45). Overnight board NOT included; make arrangements directly with Latigo Trails/Bob Harrison at 719-495-0176.
